Asia: Following in Michael’s footsteps

For the past few years, I’ve been lucky enough to perform my show in Asia: Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, as well as in China… with Cambodia and South Korea coming up in 2027.

I love performing in Asia because of the warm welcome from the audience, but also because of the incredible passion people there still have for Michael Jackson.

His music transcends generations and borders, and this passion lends a special flavour to every performance.

But there is also something much more personal about it.

On every trip I take, I follow in Michael’s footsteps. I look for the hotels where he stayed, the stadiums where he performed, the places he visited…

And when I find myself standing exactly where he stood all those years ago, it’s always a very special feeling.

Sometimes it’s just a hotel lobby, a street, a stadium or a tourist attraction. Yet, for a few moments, time seems to stand still.

I think about what he might have seen, what he might have felt when he was in the same place.

That’s another aspect of my travels in Asia: taking to the stage to bring my music to life, then, once the spotlights have gone out, setting off in the footsteps of the man who inspired me to pursue this career.

And with every new journey, the story continues…
