From January 2005 until 13 June 2005, Ben Jack’son was the only lookalike to appear on Michael Jackson’s former official website, MJJSOURCE. In recognition of his dedication to Michael Jackson’s artistic legacy, Ben received the MJJ recognition from Karen Faye, Michael Jackson’s personal assistant and administrator of the MJ website.   She was responsible for the development of the MJJsource website from 2004 until 13 June 2005. This event remains, for him – and forever – the greatest recognition he has ever received.

Michael Jackson – 10 June 2000

Thanks to Wayne Nagin and his brother, Skip – who were Michael Jackson’s bodyguards at the time – Ben Jack’son was given the opportunity to conduct an exclusive interview in Geneva, after waiting for three days.

Ben was able to pass on his videos, photos and a personal letter to Michael via his bodyguards.

On the third day, Michael Jackson left his hotel. Out of respect for his privacy, Ben chose not to photograph him at that moment, as he was accompanied by his children, Prince and Paris – whom he was shielding at the time with masks over their faces to protect them from the paparazzi.

At that time, Michael’s entourage consisted of his bodyguards Wayne Nagin and his brother Skip, his driver, and his personal assistant, Grace Rwaramba. Eventually, Michael’s security team allowed a photo to be taken from a distance as he discreetly left the hotel via the kitchens at the rear of the building.

A few minutes later, Ben walked up to Michael Jackson’s van and followed it for about a hundred metres to the traffic lights. Ben not only managed to wave him off, but he also managed to make him laugh!

On the pavement, he was discreetly performing a few dance steps, without attracting the attention of passers-by. At that very moment, and incredibly, no one around him could have imagined that Michael Jackson was in that black van right in the heart of Geneva. .

There were perhaps four or five people in the vicinity of the hotel at that moment, and they realised it was Michael Jackson!

Of course, the bodyguards had to ensure the trip remained confidential, so it was, unfortunately, impossible for the car to stop, even just to sign an autograph.

In the reflection in the van’s windows, you can actually see Ben waving to Michael Jackson.

Sony event to mark the release of the album *HIStory* on 14 June 1995

At the invitation of the Sony France team, the album’s preview event took place at the Eden Rock in Lyon, attended by journalists, artists and staff from Sony France in Paris. The following day, Ben Jack’son embarked on a tour of FNAC stores to promote the album.

Olympia – Paris

On 18 and 19 March 2011, Ben Jack’son performed at L’Olympia alongside Jean-Félix Lalanne as part of a special tribute to Michael Jackson. Jean-Félix Lalanne, a renowned guitar prodigy, chose to pay tribute to Michael Jackson during the medley – as an encore at his concert.

Official concert evening with NRJ

The "Michael Jackson Night" organised by NRJ. 24 June 1997 – 11.00 pm – Lyon: Ben Jack’son performed at the B'52 for NRJ, the official partner of Michael Jackson’s concert in Gerland, Lyon, the following day, 25 June 1997. MJ’s guitarist, David Williams, Poppin Taco, and the twin dancers, the Tallauega Brothers, were in the audience for his performance.

Prince Albert of Monaco

Friday 22 July 2011: Ben Jack’son performed in Monaco in front of Prince Albert and the athletics champions, during the 2011 Herculis, at the gala evening following the competition at a Monegasque hotel. All the athletes who had competed that day were present that very evening for this grand gala: Usain Bolt, Christophe Lemaître and others came to dance to ‘Billie Jean’! Performing in front of the Prince was an honour for him and his team, all the more so as the Prince knew Michael Jackson very well, having previously invited him three times to the World Music Awards in 1993, 1996 and 2000.
