The concept behind L’Atelier du Show-Business
An artistic career is not based solely on talent or visibility. It is built like a craft: with a strong identity, a strategy, a network, an understanding of the market and the ability to grow from every experience.
The term «show business» here refers to the entertainment industry in all its diversity: from emerging artists to established professionals, and from small organisations to international productions. The workshop makes the industry’s conventions more accessible and transforms the realities on the ground into drivers of development.
Each session accommodates up to 10 participants in order to encourage discussion, case studies and personalised advice. Applications and projects are assessed in advance to ensure the day is productive, practical and directly applicable.

The Show Business Workshop is aimed at anyone who wishes to develop a professional approach to, or fast-track, a project in the performing arts:

Ben Jack’son’s experience at the service of your project
A professional artist for over three decades, Ben Jack’son has built his career step by step, both on stage and in the media. His experience now spans more than 2,530 performances, 34 countries and 47 television programmes.
Throughout his career, he has gained practical insight into the stage, the visual arts, the audience and the realities of show business. He has worked with hundreds of organisers, managers, producers and agency directors, and has performed in front of numerous international artists and professionals.
This practical experience is complemented by a Master’s 2 in Artists’ Career Management obtained in 2021 with a ‘Well’ distinction from Lumière Lyon 2 University. A workshop tailored to your organisation
Workshops can be organised in France and abroad, either directly at a cultural organisation, a local authority, a theatre company or a business. Sessions take place over one day, usually from 9 am to 5 pm, in French or English.
