A stunning statue of Michael Jackson is to be auctioned at Drouot.
An exceptional item linked to the history of Michael Jackson is currently being offered for auction at Drouot by a collector friend: a life-size wax statue created by the Musée Grévin workshops and approved by Michael Jackson himself.
This statue has a special history. It is the second of two copies made at the time. The first was kept at the Musée Grévin after being unveiled by Michael Jackson himself on 19 April 1997.
This second pair was used in particular around the world to promote the eyewear collection named after the artist.
This sale means all the more to me as I myself have a very special memory associated with this statue. In October 2009, I was lucky enough to perform a private show at the Musée Grévin in Paris.
On that occasion, I was able to admire the statue of Michael Jackson up close.
just a few months after his death.
It was undoubtedly a memorable moment for me, as both an artist and a fan of the King of Pop.
Nowadays, it is quite rare to see one of these scarce items appear at auction. The statue is being offered alongside a costume lent by Michael Jackson and represents a genuine piece of history for collectors and enthusiasts.
The auction will take place at Drouot this Saturday, 19 September 2026.
