The Show Business Workshop

Artistic Consulting • Cultural Project Development • Project Development

The keys to structuring, developing, and professionalizing an artistic project.

Because talent alone is not enough.

In the performing arts, many artistic projects fail not because of a lack of talent, but because of a lack of method, strategy, and vision.

How do you get noticed?

How do you convince a booker?

How do you build your network?

How do you build a professional image?

How do you build a sustainable career as an artist?

After more than thirty years of experience in the entertainment industry, I created The Show Business Workshop, an intensive one-day coaching program designed to provide the tools, methods, and practical insights essential for anyone looking to develop an artistic project.

This one-day program is built on a practical approach, drawn directly from real-world experience and real-life situations.

Why the show business workshop ? L’Atelier du Show Business ?

I chose this name because it perfectly reflects my vision of what it means to be an artist.

The word Workshop evokes the craftsman—the one who learns, experiments, starts over, and refines their craft day after day. A craftsman never creates a work overnight; it is shaped with patience, discipline, and passion.

The same is true for an artist.

A career is not built on luck, thousands of Instagram views, or likes. It is shaped over time through the people you meet, the experiences you gain, the successes you achieve—and the challenges you overcome.

Every performance, every rehearsal, and every project helps build your identity and your credibility.

By contrast, Show Business often captures the imagination. It brings to mind major stages, established artists, international tours, the media, producers, and well-known personalities—an industry that can seem out of reach when you're just starting out.

I'd like to make one thing clear: show business is not just the world of international stars. Quite simply, show business means the entertainment industry. It also includes emerging and lesser-known artists working with limited resources.

Every performance, every rehearsal, and every project helps shape your identity and build your credibility.

You do not become a recognized artist overnight. You become one by honing your craft with the precision of a true show-business professional, developing your vision, learning the profession, building your network, and moving forward one step at a time.

The Show Business Workshop was born from this conviction.

Show business is not a world reserved for a privileged few. It is a demanding industry that opens its doors to those who build their careers with method, perseverance, and professionalism.

My ambition is to share this experience and help artists, performing companies, founders of new entertainment agencies, and project leaders turn their passion into a genuine professional career.

Who am I?

I am Ben Jack'son, a professional performer with more than three decades of experience. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with event organizers, businesses, public institutions, and leading figures in the entertainment industry.

This professional experience is complemented by specialized academic training.

DEGREE: Master's Degree in Management, Economics and Innovation – Artist Career Management – Lumière University Lyon 2

In 2021, I graduated with Honors.

le Master II Management des Carrières d’Artistes (MCA) de l’Université Lumière Lyon 2 (Faculté d’Économie et de Gestion).

This dual perspective—both artistic and academic—enables me to work in the fields of artistic consulting, cultural engineering, and cultural project development.
